Today, there are very few men I would consider to be genuine “Gay Porn Stars” as the industry has been infected with a great many mediocre “performers” rather than stars who happen to be allegedly reinventing themselves as “straight” (is this the new gay persona, I wonder?), or are Bisexual that makes us a great many acting in gay porn films today or bringing the industry to it’s feet with dreaded online “studios” such as Jake Cruse debasing the industry with more Gay-for-Pay” men bringing the industry down to a base level. I have written literally hundreds –including Eric Hanson, Colt favourite, Tag Adams, Andre Bolla, Tom Chase, and many more. The 1990’s also offered us also some Icons and Legends such as Aiden Shaw, Colby Taylor, Bobby Blake, Sam Crocket, Steve Fox, Ray Harley, Blake Harper, Jason Branch, Jack Simmons … and many more of whom I have written Bios about and/or had contact with writing for both pre and post 2000 groups I co-own and have moderated since 2007. The Golden Age of gay porn is thought by Historians of the industry and fans of “Vintage” gay porn to have been the 1970’s and ’80’s – when (how the mighty have now fallen) studio Colt was at the top of the tree – the stable for Beefcake Stallion models and porn stars – once owned and controlled by iconic photographic artist and legend, Jim French.
